Trancing yourself

10/27/2016

Did you know it's rather easy and common for people to put themselves into a state of trance, of hypnosis? You do it all the time. Take a look at this short video and I know you'll be nodding your head in agreement! The video will also show you how to program your thoughts in a quick easy way.

But what about the other trances you put yourself into?
When they happen you are programming your subconscious mind but not necessarily with what you really want like not finding your keys. Keys are one thing but not achieving important goals or feeling good about yourself is another. Notice however that yourself talk is the same: "I can't (fill in the blank)!" or "I'm not (fill in the blank)."
When working on a personal issue telling yourself I am confident or smart or a non-smoker or stop eating when I'm full won't have the power to overcome the existing beliefs you carry. These beliefs have been there for a long time and reinforced time and again thus requiring a different approach.
This is where working with a hypnotist comes in. The work I do goes to the core of the beliefs that stop and block you. Even "bad" habits have a belief behind it. If you're scratching your head don't worry - my clients start off not knowing it either but the process shows them.
Ready?
When you work with me in November you automatically receive 15% off of all your sessions in celebration of my 14th year of being a certified hypnotist. This offer is for the first 5 new people who book their sessions by November 4th. You will need to schedule your Hypnosis Discovery Session as soon as possible so act now.

Don't panic!

Don't panic, you still have time before the holidays are upon you!

Did you just go through a list in your head of what you'll need to get done? Perhaps you thought of who'll you'll be needing to see whether you want to or not. Maybe a (familiar) knot started in your stomach or chest as the anxiety, stress, and/or depression began to grow.

How did you get here, and quickly I might add?

You immediately tapped into your past experiences from when you were a child all the way through the last winter holiday season and whatever your previous experiences were, especially when you were very young, flooded your mind and physical body.

What if you could banish the holiday blues and stress?

I am offering a seminar just in time to help you with this!

You'll come away with tools and strategies to assist you in making this time of the year a more pleasant experience, perhaps even an enjoyable one.

Here's what you'll need to do and soon!

Click here for the details (date, time, location). Seating is limited so you'll want to pre-register now (it's in less than 2 weeks!). There is a nominal fee of $20 to attend this event when you save your place now, $25 at the door and only if seats are available.

Bad habits be gone

10/6/2016

I really don't like the phrase "Bad Habit". We live in a society of words and a culture of judgment and as a result we can easily be made to feel wrong and ashamed.  One of the big problems with all this is you don't realize you're being shamed from the outside in.  You see yourself as flawed, bad, inadequate, and perhaps even undeserving of fill in the blank.

Depending upon your age many people who smoke began at a time when smoking was being heavily marketed as a way to be cool, fit in, and be an adult with the freedom that's implied.  Hook, line, and sinker people bought it, bought their product, and started on the path of being a smoker.  Then years later the rules changed and smokers were seen as outcasts, addicted, and judged for their behavior.  The clients I see for smoking cessation almost unanimously say they feel a sense shame for continuing to smoke.

So what do you do when the rules change on you?

Here are 3 of my top tips I'd like to share with you and they apply to any so called "bad" habit you might have:
  1. Stop taking it personally by judging yourself.  You smoke...okay.  Being a smoker doesn't make you a second class citizen; it doesn't mean you're bad, flawed or imperfect.  You have a behavior that doesn't enhance your health or well being.  People might feel the right to comment on it.  BUT HERE'S THE REAL QUESTION:   What do you want to do about it?  If you stay in judgment of yourself your shame will get in your way of being able to make any changes large or small.
  2. As Albert Einstein said:  "Insanity: is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."  In other words, if what you have been doing hasn't been successful, you need to do something else!   You haven't yet found what works for you.
  3. Underneath this behavior and any other "bad" habit you can think of are the emotions that do not feel good.  The behavior is actually a way to distract yourself from feeling bad even when you're not consciously aware of it.  I've seen this countless times over the 14 years I've been in practice as a Board Certified Hypnotist.  Since it's in the subconscious people don't know and think it's all about nicotine and will power and it is not!  This is what makes hypnosis a valuable and powerful tool to make that change when you're ready to!
Do you have a "bad habit"?   Do you want to learn more about how hypnosis may be what you've been looking for?

Then now's the time for you to schedule your complimentary telephone Hypnosis Discovery Session!  It's only one click away and you do it online scheduling at a time that's convenient for you.  I look forward to speaking with you soon!
